It’s historic. Epic Games is launching the first Community Day in Fortnite, a 24-hour event designed to give away cosmetics, multiply XP, and reactivate the entire community after months of fatigue. It falls right on the Saturday of the FNCS Major 1 Summit in Düsseldorf, making it double-epic: you have the competitive scene up top and the massive player base event below.

When is the Fortnite Community Day?
The Community Day starts at 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Saturday the 30th and ends exactly 24 hours later. By time zone:

All Free Community Day Cosmetics
The rewards are divided into 4 categories. Some are obtained just by logging in, others require winning a match, and others come from Twitch Drops. All are free.
1. Just for Logging In (Automatic Login)
These 3 are automatically given to any account that logs into the game during the event. You don’t have to DO ANYTHING besides log in and play a session. Once claimed, they are yours forever.
2. Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass — Bonus
If you own the Battle Pass for this season, you also get a comical Foundation with a tie style, as if the leader of the Seven was going to a corporate office. It’s a rare but very meme-worthy thing.
3. Win ONE Victory Royale (Any Mode)
The most coveted triple combo of the event. To get all 3, you need a single Victory Royale in any of these modes during the 24 hours of Community Day:
- Battle Royale (standard)
- Reload
- Blitz
- OG
If you aren’t top-tier in standard BR, consider trying Reload (shorter rotations) or OG (classic map, without some modern mechanics). A VR there gets you all 3 cosmetics anyway. And if the Squad fill doesn’t work, try duos or solos depending on where you are most comfortable.
Important: the rewards are delivered the following week, not the same day. So be patient with the delivery — but they are recorded at the time of the VR.
4. Twitch Drops — Watch Streams for More Cosmetics
If you link your Fortnite account to Twitch and watch streams from participating creators during the event, you unlock another cosmetic package:
- Metal Menace Wrap — unlocked after 30 minutes of watch time
- Tome of Skulls Back Bling — unlocked after 1 hour of watch time
- Skeletal Cyberscythe Pickaxe — unlocked after 1 hour 30 minutes of watch time

Bonus: Galactic Battle Twitch Extension
A new Twitch extension called Galactic Battle has been active since yesterday, May 29. If you watch participating Fortnite streams, you can see Fortnite items appearing on screen. You collect 5 sprays (one for each Star Wars faction). Every item collected contributes to the community goal — if the community reaches it, everyone who collected at least one receives the Galactic Battle Loading Screen in the game.
Other Day Buffs (Important)
In addition to cosmetics, the Saturday activates these boosts in ALL modes:
- 5x Rivalry Credits — quintuples your credits for the Battle Royale Cups
- Double XP up to 50 Battle Pass levels — the best opportunity of the year to finish the pass if you are behind
- More Rare Blue Chests on the map — better loot in all POIs
- Golden Fireworks Pistols active — rare and comical weapons in the pool
- Player-voted weapon unvaults — weapons voted by the community return to the game
The Plus: Sneak Peek at the Next Live Event
Epic announced that during the Community Day there will be a sneak peek at the next live event in Fortnite. There are no official details about what it is or exactly when it will be shown, but it is the first time one has been confirmed since the end of Galactic Battle. If you were waiting to know what’s coming in terms of narrative after Star Wars, this might be the first clue.
How It Coincides with the FNCS Major 1 Summit
On the same Saturday the Lower Bracket of the FNCS Major 1 Summit takes place in Düsseldorf — including the match K1nG + Fazer vs Clix + Higgs in Wonkieland.
