Today, Sunday May 31, closes the FNCS Major 1 Summit in Düsseldorf. 50 duos battle for the $1.3M prize pool and points for the Global Championship in September in Antwerp. It’s the most mediatic session of the weekend — but Epic added an unexpected twist: the map gets changes 15 minutes before the start, without warning the magnitude, as a final surprise for the pros.
Start time in every region
The Grand Final starts at 5:00 PM Düsseldorf time (event venue). In America:

The twist: map changes 15 minutes before
Epic confirmed that the game’s map will receive changes 15 minutes before the start of the Grand Final. The magnitude is unknown — could be minor adjustments (a new POI, a rebalanced weapon) or something more drastic (an entire zone rotation). Only confirmed: it drops without warning and all 50 duos have to adapt in real time.
For the viewer, it’s one of the most interesting formats of recent Majors: no one arrives with the “homework done” on rotations, drop spots, or loadout composition. Everything gets redefined in the first minutes. For the pros, it’s a pure adaptability test.

They’re the names that have been carrying weight match after match in competitive for months, with top consistency and scary mechanical level.
Clix + Higgs and K1nG + Fazer were also eliminated yesterday in the Lower Bracket — the most anticipated matchup of the weekend ended with both sides out. The Grand Final arrives with the heavyweights of competitive intact and with the map twist that could break any prediction.
What’s at stake
The Major podium takes the biggest share of the prize pool, and all participants earn points for the 2026 Global Championship in Antwerp, Belgium (September). Coverage of the next Major starts in July.
Sunday’s format is cumulative points across 6 matches, with each Victory Royale weighted heavy in the final ranking. Same format as Upper and Lower, but now with the 50 best of the weekend together.
