Fortnite Sprites are back, and this time they really change how you play. These elemental creatures ride along as a Back Bling and grant you a passive ability for the whole match — from refilling shield in water to siphoning health on every elimination. There are 11 base Sprites across four rarities, and getting them takes some work. Here is the complete guide.

How do Sprites work?
Unlike their Chapter 6 debut, they are not handed to you anymore: you have to hunt them on the island and extract them. Once in your collection, you summon them with Sprite Dust, a currency that also levels them up. Each Sprite takes the Back Bling slot, so you only carry one per match — choosing well is part of the game.

How to get Sprites step by step
Look for loose Sprites and Sprite Chests
They roam the island and appear inside Sprite Chests and Vaults. Higher-rarity ones are far rarer, so mind where you land.
Take it to an extraction point
There are extraction points around the map. Only the Sprite you manage to extract is saved to your collection for future matches.
Get eliminated and you lose it
When you go down you drop your Sprite and any rival can grab it. Protect it (and steal theirs when you knock them).
Summon and power it up with Sprite Dust
Sprite Dust is the currency that summons and upgrades your Sprite in future matches. The higher the rarity, the more Dust you need.
Gold variants: same passive + XP
Which are the best?
If you are competing, prioritize utility: Punk (unlimited ammo mid-fight) and Zero Point (free bubble when you heal) swing fights. For aggressive play, Demon keeps you alive by siphoning health on every kill. And if you love cracking the map, Earth and Dream flood you with loot. Do not get stuck on a Rare if something better crosses your path.
